This booklet details the standards for the Safe Powerboat operator certifications and for Safe Powerboat Instructor certification. It supports the Official Logbook where a record is maintained of all course completions, certifications, and on-the-water experience. Upon successful completion of the knowledge and practical examinations for each level, a student will receive a sticker and signature from their instructor in their Official Logbook. This information will be entered into the US Sailing national database. Choose a program, school or training center that offers hands-on, on-the-water training with US Sailing/US Powerboating certified Safe Powerboat Instructors and materials.
